I would need to find a floppy for PC as I dont have any since a very long time now ... As per the A3000 this would be great, otherwise do you know if there is a way to connect the drive to a pc and read it?

@sID: I should be able to read the HD and dump it on CDR as I still have my A3000.

For floppies, you can dump them from a PC using Disk2FDI. This works fine. I dumped a lot of my Floppies with. I sued the // port and I can dump in aprox 50s a floppy

Actually have a very very old scsi 1 drive of 120mb in Amiga format where I had a lot of stuff on it but I really have no idea whats exactly on it but there might be well some intros code, crack loaders ... All I remember was a great application I wrote to create trainers which was analyzing a target range of binary code and was automatically finding the places where lives, energy were decreased / increased

Do you have any way of reading its content? I dont even know if this thing is working after so long ... Also if disks are not eaten by cockcroaches and dust I have some sources left like the mighty Alcatraz bob scroll demo but it requires an Amiga floppy or something like that for the file transfer and also a torch from my side to find back the disks! ...

@sID: good to have you here mate! any idea is welcome! Soon to come: Crux, Renegade, Impact (with Toys of Madness BBS number ) and much more hehe

BTW, do you still have the intros I gave you?? trainer menus etc? for Impact, Crux, Renegade? I remember one I coded for Crux with a zoom scroll I coded for The Party in Fredericia/Denmark in 94... I hope you still have them

It might not be quite the same thing but I would be more than up for coding a chat room to go with this site...

Excellent stuff!

I guess now whats missing is a a "remember demo/copy party" like the good old times and of course the re-opening of Electric Co

@Stormbringer: Sure, I will ! I will also port some of the intros I made for Avenger.

We should have a voice chat someday, I've some questions regarding fast porting of intros :-)

Unfortunately, there is less and less OldSkool people floating around. But the idea to have comments, stories would be great !

What I plan to do, when I will remake my intros (good chance this will start beginning of next year ... as till end of the year I'm fully booked for what bring me money... my job :-() is to add a short story about the intro itself. At least, majority of them have stories behind ...

A short story for each group would be very nice, finally it is Tetra who'd be coding it though so I think he would have a better idea than me of how to integrate it into the site.

quite true... a lot of members here just download the remakes without taking time to post a little comment! Guys it would be nice to hear from you from time to time... that's why this portal exists..

regarding the short story for each group, what do you think SHockwave?

For me I am against the idea of putting all intros from each group into one archive.. basically because it discourages commenting on intros.

Hopefully people will come here that have had some connection / some story to tell about what they download and the whole site is coded to keep track of individual productions that each user has downloaded..

Too much is available too fast these days on the internet at the click of a mouse button you can have almost anything.

A good cracktro needs to be savoured like the old days. < /$0.02 >

if auto generate can't be done, then i think the remakes must be done in a group by group order.

for example you pick a group, find every intro they released and remake it

a nice add-on to the A.I.O. idea is to have a story of the group in the A.I.O. and some info about the intros (if any).

@bikerboy: good idea! however I need to ask Tetra about how he thinks this can be achieved. We add remakes pretty much at random so these archives should be updated from time to time. I'm wondering if it's possible to automatically generate them (I'm quite sure it is..)
