Stormbringer | 18-12-2011 14:32 | | Slams: 5896 | At least I would have used a ripped scroll text as well to complain... something like that:
"SCANDAL, SCANDAL !!!! YOU KNOW GUENTHER KRAEMER (BLADERUNNER) THE AUTHOR OF THE COPYPROGRAM FAST'EM? HE IS A THIEF, BECAUSE HE USES IN HIS FAST'EM THE ORIGINAL FAST LIGHTNING COPYROUTINES, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME BYTE FOR BYTE. GIVE HIM A KICK, IF YOU MEET HIM ............. "
it would have been easy to replace Guenther Kraemer by something else

Shockwave | 17-12-2011 21:36 | | Slams: 2114 | What I like about browser remakes is that they provide a quick way to see a remake, but in all honesty I prefer to watch a proper win32 port or even better the original on it's correct hardware..
In a lot of cases I think it's preferable to watch the youtube video rather than a flash port because most of the flash remakes are inaccurate.. mouse menus don't work etc..
Some people don't like having their resources ripped I guess, even when they were ripped in the first place - in the end who gives a fuck as long as we can watch the remake on win32 or flash or codef or youtube..
Interesting to watch the fighting on that pouet thread, but in the end we know nobody will win.

Stormbringer | 16-12-2011 16:49 | | Slams: 5896 | Well, I do not know what to say... this sort of attitude is beyond my sense of humor.... I intend to give away all my source code to this guy in the hope that we will rip/steal all of it to make some nice HTML5 remakes.
I still do prefer to write code, compile, disassemble and reassemble stuff for my remakes, that's where the fun is, at least for me. Now I'm happy to have some HTML 5 interpretation of the original intro/demo but because of the browser limitations, it will never be a 100% remake for me.
In conclusion I respect and highly appreciate the work (just like for Flashtro.com) but allow myself to consider "real coding" as a higher level ... sorry for my arrogance here...
Then of course comes the attitude and scene fights about the ripping of gfx and resources. Most of the cracktros/demos around contain ripped gfx, music and routines, the whole scene expanded through this mechanism. Even for cracks, it was not unusual to find solen routines here and there.
I promised that any direct and personal criticism will be forbidden here, because our focus is something else. Pouet is the right place for any urgent need for posting insults. Not here. It does not mean we cannot have an opinion, and be sure I have mine on all this. But I won't discuss it here....
a final message to hellsangle: please rip/disassemble more for me then

Shockwave | 12-11-2011 17:07 | | Slams: 2114 | I really think that HTML5/canvas pisses all over flash, maybe we will be able to see 100% perfect browser remakes of intros in the future.
Not sure on how the framework to this site would cope with html5/canvass though!
